Cloaked Marvel, Common Fungus Moth, GROUNDLINGS AND mIDGET mOTHS
Grateful Midget moth, a very common species at my lights. I see them from April through November.
Dusky Groundling moth, a very common species at my moth lights.
Cloaked Marvel. Note the white dots at the end of the black streaks.
Another Cloaked Marvel. I have found a few individuals at my lights from May through August. Larvae feed on mushrooms.
Another Grateful Midget moth, more faded than the individual above.
Dusky Groundlings show up at my lights every month from April through September.
Common Fungus Moth. These moths have visited my lights a couple of times, from June through August.
Variegated Midget moth. I have a few sightings at my lights in May, July, and August.
White-dotted Groundling moth. This is the only one I have seen. Photographed at my lights on June 24, 2024.
Red Groundling moth, photographed in Adams County, Ohio on July 23, 2022.
Another Red Groundling moth. This one came to my home lights on August 5, 2022. These are the only two Red Groundlings I have seen.
