Index to Moth Plates
Below are links to 16 moth plates. There are at least 2,000 - 2,500 species of moths in our area (rough estimate), possibly more. I have found more than 600 species, many of which are featured on this website. In arranging these 16 plates, I have not adhered to scientific groupings. Rather, I have attempted to combine similar-looking moths in each group. I also have a link to a chart with my entire Ohio moth life list, with notes on flight periods and species abundance.
