Dimorphic Macalla. I have found a couple of these moths at my lights in June and July.

Dyspyralis nigellus. These small dark moths look very similar to Idia moths. This is my only sighting (July 24, 2017).

Female Waterlily Borer Moth. I photographed this pair of moths in Adams County (southern Ohio) on July 24, 2022.

Waterlily Leafcutter Moth. I find these moths at my home lights from May through September.

Maple Webworm. I find these moths at my lights from May through August.

Aspen Webworm, much less common at my lights than their Maple Webworm cousins (above). I have seen a couple of Aspen Webworms, from May through August.

Yellow-lined Owlet, photographed at Hocking Hills (eastern Ohio) on May 12, 2018. This is my only sighting of the species.

Maple Webworm. This one was found in Adams County, Ohio, but they come to my home lights as well.

Another Waterlily Leafcutter Moth. They eat a wide variety of aquatic plants besides waterlilies.

Another female Waterlily Borer Moth. This one was photographed at my home lights. I found a couple of individuals at my home lights in July and September 2024.
